SEN Support Assistant
Location: Coventry
Hours: Monday to Friday (8:30am to 3:30pm)
Salary: £425 to £470
Contract: Temporary (Opportunities to go perm)

Teaching Personnel is looking for dedicated and experienced individuals to join a well-respected Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Coventry as support staff. This school caters to students aged 11 to 16 with a range of complex needs, including autism, ADHD, and communication difficulties. Some students are non-verbal, so experience with alternative communication methods such as Makaton is highly desirable.
In this role, you will play a vital part in creating a nurturing and structured learning environment where students feel comfortable, supported, and encouraged to reach their full potential. We are seeking proactive individuals who can engage effectively with students, build strong relationships, and adapt to their unique needs.
This Role Would Involve:
1. Supporting the class teacher in the delivery of lessons including swimming
2. Organising and collecting resources for the lessons
3. Being a positive role model to inspire and encourage the child to make positive life choices and behaviours
4. Using enthusiasm to encourage children to become involved in lessons
5. Personal care may be required
Requirements:
1. A bachelor's degree in psychology or a related field
2. Passion for working with young children and making a positive impact in their education
3. Strong interpersonal skills
4. Excellent communication skills
5. Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
