Project Manager

We are currently recruiting for an Project Manager with team management responsibilities to join our team here at PayTech.
This is a new position within the PayTech Project Management Office team where you will be supporting the delivery of internal strategic projects as well as playing a critical part in ensuring the businesses are aligned with the strategy.
This role will have the line management of the other Internal project managers, a mix of permanent employees and contractors.
You will work with a number of stakeholder groups to support this extension and future changes, where you will be working within a fast-moving environment where customer satisfaction, delivery implementation objectives, solution resolution and quality are key.
What you will be doing:
Projects
1. Managing the implementation of new requirements through to acceptance and, rollout and support (including technical, legal, compliance/risk and financial work-streams)
2. Identify amendments in project objectives, with capacity to negotiate between core and future phasing in order to efficiently adhere to agreed delivery timeframes.
3. Planning, effort estimations, status reporting and project budget tracking
4. Drive issue resolution, enable reporting, and manage escalations.
5. Manage governance sessions at agreed frequency
Management
6. Maximise resource utilisation
7. Drive continuous improvement across the team, working with other areas of the business
8. Manage the workload of the team ensuring the priorities are clearly understood across the board to maximise the progress flow
9. Support each individual in their learning and development, ensuring sound shared knowledge and positive attitude for a high performing team
10. Guide Project managers to manage the implementation of products and solutions from shaping requirements through to build, acceptance testing and rollout end-to-end.
11. Monitor and control project delivery while identifying, challenging and overcoming delays and obstacles
12. Effective prioritisation of projects/resources
13. Track and manage escalated issues from own team
14. Optimise recruitment, training and development and progression of employees
15. Monitoring the quality of the team’s performance and providing regular feedback against the agreed standards
What we want from you:
16. Proven record of leadership skills and experience, putting stakeholders and employees at its core, combined with people skills (inspire to perform)
17. Adaptable to fit with the different teams profiles
18. A wealth of relevant experience in a project management, technical project management role
19. Experience of managing few projects simultaneously on complex topics
20. Strong stakeholder management skills
21. Highly organised, with experience of working with a project methodology
22. Strong understanding of scale agile
23. Focus on delivery with customer satisfaction as a core principle
24. Strong documentation and communication skills
25. A proven record of working in a fast paced environment
Desirable:
26. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
27. Experience in team leadership
28. PM qualifications preferred or equivalent experience
29. Understanding or experience in payment (card, mobile, wallet…)
