Job Title: Support Worker
Reports To: Parents
Probationary Period: 3 months
Holiday Entitlement: 5.6 weeks per annum
Hours: £12.40 per hour weekdays and £15.44 weekends, up to 10 hours per week. During the summer holidays, up to 30 hours per week.
Job Purpose
To support my son in the home and community to develop his social skills and promote his independence in the community. He can be affectionate and co-operative at times but can also be extremely challenging. He has no friends at home and is dependent on his family to meet his social needs. Ultimately, he would develop social skills and therefore take responsibility for his behaviour. He would like the opportunity to follow his own interests and develop some life skills. The support worker would act as a positive role model and help develop his social skills.

Other Requirements
You will need to undertake relevant training, a child protection check, and an enhanced DBS check for this role. In general, undertake all care work with the sensitivity required to provide services in a way that preserves the dignity, choice, independence, fulfilment, and rights of the child and their family.
