The role
As a Principal EC&I Engineer, you’ll be responsible for managing the delivery of engineering and technical activities across our projects, applying your process, domain knowledge and experience.
* Assist in effective management of the customer, through interfacing with customers and supply chain on design issues and assist with procurement specifications.
* Ensure procedures, codes and standards are correctly identified and applied to engineering and technical activities.
* Ensure that adequate review, verification and approval is undertaken on all deliverables under your control.
* Carry out technical investigations and analysis to provide data for problem assessment/resolution and for design improvements.
* Produce, review, and verify outputs including calculations, analyses, technical reports, specifications, and method statements.
* Act as Technical Authority or Engineering Lead when authorised.
Essential experience of the Principal EC&I Engineer
* Experience in working collaboratively in multi-discipline teams to deliver activities on a range of project types.
* Demonstrable experience in covering a variety of tasks.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to interface with other disciplines.
Essential qualifications for the Principal EC&I Engineer
* Engineering degree (or equivalent qualification) in a relevant engineering discipline, with demonstrable experience.
