Read on Position: Logistics Warehouse Assistant Location: Glasgow, Head Office Job Type: Full time (39.5 hours per week), Permanent Salary: £24,648 Benefits: 28 days annual leave 4 public holidays, medical support (cashback system), life insurance, company pension, staff discounts and more Purpose of Role: An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Logistics Assistant to join our Logistics team here in Glasgow on a full-time, permanent basis. In your new role, you will pick and pack customer orders ready for despatch from our warehouse, as well as receive incoming goods to be put into stock and stored correctly Key responsibilities: • Ensure that all orders are assembled accurately and in time for despatch • Re-packing / re-palletisation • Operating Bendi/Counterbalance forklifts • Ensure that goods are received & documented accurately • Daily liaising with Logistics Management on product availability and priorities • Be informed of any customer feedback • Process all documentation clearly and efficiently • Strict attention must be paid to stock rotation, pallet racking and racking cards Experience To be considered for this position it is essential that you have relevant previous experience in a similar role in a warehouse or logistics environment, with stock control experience and MUST HAVE a valid licence for forklift Skills / Knowledge You will be educated to Standard Grade / GSCE or equivalent. You will have a high level of numeracy, accuracy, and attention to detail, and the ability to perform in a physically demanding role.
