Support Workers – two part time posts working 21 hpw

An exciting opportunity has arisen within SJOG for experienced Support Workers to become part of our specialist complex care provision at Rockcliffe Court in Hurworth, Darlington.
We are looking to recruit two part time Support Workers to provide support and assistant for complexed care supported living.
Working 21 hours per week, there will be the requirement to also do regular sleep ins providing caring for a gentleman with learning disabilities and complex needs who requires support with daily living which includes, cooking, cleaning, shopping and going out in the community on activities. He likes the cinema, swimming and is willing to try new activities.
Key attributes:
• QCF 3 in Adult Health & Social Care or above.
• Experience of working with people with autism, in either a work or personal environment.
• Experience of supporting people with learning difficulties.
• Full, clean driving licence is preferred but not essential.
• Excellent communication skills, being able to communicate with people we support, colleagues, professionals and families.
• Excellent written communication skills and ability to write accurate reports.
• Experience of the key worker role.
• Ability to work as part of a team or work independently.
• Able to provide personal care.
• Able to work flexible hours including weekends, nights etc according to the needs of the people in service.
• Honesty and reliability.
• Interested, motivated and committed.
• Accessible, approachable and comfortable with vulnerable people with complex needs.
