Transport Planner (m/f/d)
KAre you an organized and proactive professional with a passion for logistics? We are seeking a Transport Planner (m/f/d) vto join our dynamic team. As a key player in our logistics operations, you'll manage day-to-day transport planning, liaise with hauliers and suppliers, and ensure our deliveries are executed smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
* Daily planning and haulier allocation for all COSCO Line deliveries in Truckcom.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with hauliers and suppliers to ensure efficient coverage.
* Replan and cancel jobs as necessary, collaborating with hauliers for optimal results.
* Liaise with rail planners for booking route changes, amendments, or cancellations.
* Track and monitor shipments to ensure timely delivery and adherence to schedules.
* Provide shipment status updates to hauliers, carriers, and customers.
* Manage additional charges and ensure accurate tariff management, including ancillary costs from suppliers.
* Release import containers and obtain PINs using Destin8/CNS port systems.
* Support the Transport Manager and work closely with the wider team to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently.
* Perform general administrative duties and other ad-hoc tasks as required.
What We’re Looking For:
* Proven experience as a Transport Planner or similar role in the shipping industry.
* Strong understanding of transportation logistics and supply chain management.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
* Proficiency in transportation management software and systems.
* Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements for shipping operations.
