We are looking for a Data Scientist who will support our product, sales, leadership and marketing teams with insights gained from analysing data. The ideal candidate is adept at using large data sets to find opportunities for product and process optimisation and using models to test the effectiveness of different courses of action. They must have experience using a variety of data mining/data analysis methods, using a variety of data tools, building and implementing models, using/creating algorithms and creating/running simulations.
He/She/Ze must have a proven ability to drive business results with their data-based insights. They must be comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and functional teams. The right candidate will have a passion for discovering solutions hidden in large data sets and working with stakeholders to improve business outcomes.
The Candidate
* You will be responsible for executing end-to-end advanced analytics/data science projects.
* Strong technical knowledge of designing bespoke AI and ML algorithms.
* Sound knowledge on applying various machine learning techniques in production levels.
* Business understanding – capturing and proactively initiating analysis requirements and defining success metrics.
* Data understanding - identifying and validating sources of data.
* Data preparation - extracting, merging and cleaning data from a variety of sources.
* Communicating clear recommendations and action plans to stakeholders.
* Having the skills needed to exploit the data and managing the issues of data privacy and security.

* Promotional Effectiveness, Sensitivity and ROI Modelling, Multi-channel Strategy Analysis.
* Innovative Segmentation and Targeting techniques, customer and geography restructures.
* Customer Intelligence to understand the needs and Priorities for the NHS.
* Sub-National Business Tool Management, analysis, including potential customer engagement.
* You have a strong software engineering background and are capable of engaging in technical conversations and challenging teams to arrive at strong technical decisions themselves.
* Experienced with managing people and debugging issues in teams.
* Comfortable working with high-performing engineering teams who have a strong sense of autonomy in their decision making, be it technical or product focussed.
* While you’re great with people and adept at managing relationships, you still keep up-to-date with the latest technical trends and shifts in order to maintain and enhance your understanding of the challenges your teams face.
QualificationsSkills & Experience
* A postgraduate degree preferably PhD in a numerate discipline and a minimum of 2 years working in a hands-on technical analytics/data science role within a customer data analytics team would be beneficial though not essential.
* Demonstrable end-to-end analytics / data science project lifecycle experience with a track record in being able to spot opportunities and drive them through to delivery.
* Passionate about analytics / data science. Up-to-date with the latest developments. A desire and ability to research and pick up new tools and techniques quickly is essential.
* Some Experience in running various methods like Regression, Random forest, k-NN, k-Means, boosted trees, SVM, Neural Network, text mining, NLP, statistical modelling, data mining, exploratory data analysis, statistics (hypothesis testing, descriptive statistics).
* Experience of manipulating large quantities of high-dimensional data. Ability to extract, clean, and combine data from a variety of sources and ensure high levels of data quality.
* Ability to build predictive models and customer segmentations. Solid understanding of machine learning techniques.
* Ability to communicate findings and recommendations clearly at all levels of the organisation.
* Strategic Thinking – Support the delivery of the MEDIPROSPECTS AI analytics strategy working alongside the Data Solutions Team Manager, by providing high quality data and analytical solutions.
