We are looking for a kind, energetic and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to work in a fantastic Special School in Southend-on-Sea. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with individuals who have autism, complex needs, and physical disabilities. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing personalized care and academic support to students. Responsibilities Providing one-on-one support to students with autism, complex needs, and physical disabilities. Assisting students with personal care tasks, such as feeding, toileting, and mobility. Collaborating with teachers and therapists to implement individualized learning plans. Creating a safe and inclusive environment for students to thrive. Implementing behavioural strategies and communication techniques to support students' social and emotional development. Monitoring and documenting student progress and behaviours. Requirements You must have a valid enhanced DBS certificate (Child & Adult Workforce) registered on the update service or be willing to pay for a new one (£52.20). Previous experience working with individuals with autism, complex needs, or physical disabilities. Knowledge of and sensitivity to the diverse needs of students with disabilities. Ability to provide personal care and support to students with empathy and respect. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Patience and adaptability in challenging situations. Care Experience is highly desirable.
