Our client, a prominent consultancy in the building surveying sector, is currently seeking a Senior / Associate Chartered Building Surveyor to join their team in London. This permanent role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects across various sectors including office fit-outs, industrial, life sciences, transport, and logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conducting detailed building surveys and preparing comprehensive reports
2. Offering expert advice on property refurbishment and office fit-outs
3. Managing projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget
4. Conducting defect diagnosis and proposing remedial solutions
5. Carrying out feasibility studies and advising on the procurement process
6. Liaising with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes
7. Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and industry standards
8. Mentoring and supporting junior surveyors as needed
Job Requirements:
1. Experience in building surveying, with a focus on commercial property
2. Chartered status through RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors)
3. Strong understanding of building construction, pathology, and procurement
4. Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously
5. Excellent report writing and presentation skills
6. Strong communication and client-facing abilities
7. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
8. Relevant degree or equivalent qualification
