CATS Team Lead (Community Assessment and Treatment Service)
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a service committed to improving the heath and wellbeing of frail and or older people.
The Community Assessment and Treatment Services (CATS) provides rapid access to doctors, nurses, physiotherapists and OTs for primarily frail and/or elderly patients with a strong focus on prevention of hospital admission. CATS featured as a case study in the Geriatric Medicine GIRFT National Speciality Report.
We are looking for a Team Lead who will provide clinical and operational leadership to the CATS multidisciplinary team as well as provide physiotherapy assessments and treatment plans for our patients.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will lead the day to day operational and clinical running of the Community Assessment and Treatment Service; ensuring the service is running safely, efficiently and effectively.
They will provide leadership to and education opportunities for the CATS staff and work clinically as required providing highly skilled physiotherapy assessments.
The successful candidate will have experience of planning and organising services that may need review and adjustment on a regular basis.
We are looking for someone with strong communication skills who is calm under pressure and to help further develop the Community Assessment and Treatment Service
The services run from 08:30 to 17:00 Monday to Friday excluding bank holidays.
Due to the nature of the role it is essential that applicants are able to travel effectively and independently on a daily basis to and from the base, clients' homes and other venues around the geographical area. If necessary, adjustments can be considered, in accordance with the Disability Discrimination Act.

Person Specification
Education, Qualifications and Training
* BSc or Diploma in physiotherapy
* Relevant post registration course or experience
* Completion of management and leadership programme
Special Circumstances
* The post holder will be required to work across all sites and will be required to travel between the sites in a timely manner.
Experience
* Clinical experience within own profession dealing with complex conditions
* Experience in change management, team leadership, performance management
* Previous experience in teaching, coaching, mentoring
Skills, Abilities and Knowledge
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Proven ability to utilise word, power point and excel to a level of producing documents, reports
* Ability to deal with complex/ difficult/ stressful situations.
* Ability to plan and organise complex activities, programmes which may need adjustment on a regular basis depending on activity
* Dexterity and accuracy required clinical interventions
* Good team worker
* Proven ability to analyse highly complex problems and to develop and successfully implement practical and workable solutions to address them
* Evidence of participation in audit, research and development of staff
* Experience of dealing with human resource issues
