About the role… We’re looking for a detail-driven, newly qualified accountant to join us as a Senior Financial Accountant on a 9 months Fixed-Term Contract. Reporting to the Deputy Financial Controller, this is a key role within our Finance team, supporting a variety of complex and high-profile accounting responsibilities across the UK entity. This includes preparing monthly results for submission to our parent company, managing both direct and indirect cashflows, and overseeing accounting for asset retirement obligations, sundry sales, and stock. You'll work closely with a range of stakeholders to drive process improvements, ensure accuracy, and meet tight reporting deadlines. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified accountant looking to take their first step out of practice or audit into a commercially focused role. What you’ll be doing… Manage monthly reporting into Controller and Finance Pack End to end management of both Direct and Indirect Forecasting. Partnering with stakeholders across Portfolio, Construction, and Estate Management teams. Overseeing sundry sales forecasting and accounting. Owning stock accounting, including periodic stock counts and variance analysis. Managing Asset Retirement Obligation (ARO) accounting and related reporting. What we’re looking for… ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified- newly qualified candidates encouraged to apply. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including UK GAAP and ideally US GAAP. Ability to simplify and communicate complex finance concepts to non-finance audiences. Proactive mindset with a drive to improve and streamline processes. Strong Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems. Comfortable working under pressure and delivering to tight deadlines. What’s in it for you?
