As a Fertility Nurse/Midwife, you'll provide information and advice on our treatments to patients, as well as any emotional support. You'll co-ordinate treatment cycle plans, coach our patients to self-administer fertility drugs, and care for our patients pre and post theatre as well as in the clinic.
The role is varied and will include:
* Performing venepuncture, interpreting and giving blood results when necessary (training will be provided for venepuncture and cannulation)
* Perform basic patient assessments, venepuncture and undertake pre-treatment consultations
* Assist in theatre procedures, including egg collections, embryo transfers, IUIs and Hy Co Sy
* Preparation of theatre, ward and maintenance of resuscitation trolley

* A qualification in adult nursing Degree/Diploma as well as being a registered NMC nurse or midwife is essential
* Essential to have post registration experience working within an acute hospital setting
* Desirable but not essential to have experience of gynae/obstetric, theatre experience, venepuncture and ultra-scanning.
This is a full-time role working 4 days a week from 07:30-17:30 (weekend working is 1 in 6, but not until successful completion of training). Based at our clinic at 5 Hill View Rd, Woking, GU22 7HW with free onsite parking.

Job responsibilities
As a Registered Practitioner in Fertility Care at Care Fertility, you will provide advice, information, support and clinical care throughout the patients' journey. You will work with the multi-disciplinary team in coordinating treatment cycles and providing our patients with the best possible treatment experience, giving each patient the very best chance of success. As a member of the Care Family, you will carry out your roles in a way that supports and delivers through our shared values of compassion, collaboration, and expertise.
A registered practitioner who works well as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering fertility care within a clinic setting. This practitioner has sound general practice and is developing their expertise and skills in fertility care. Registered practitioner with a UK professional regulatory body. This practitioner has demonstrable good understanding of fertility care and has transferable skills from their experience of working in other clinical settings. Can plan and organise care and determine which aspects of a situation are important and is therefore able to prioritise clinical care effectively and safely. Is proficient in the delivery of their care, continuously seeking to improve care, patient experience and team working.
They work at undergraduate level and are developing to graduate level working/practice.

* Undertakes venepuncture and cannulation using Aseptic No Touch Technique (ANTT) aligned to best practice policy and SOP.
* Has completed the abdominal scanning training programme.
* Undertakes Abdominal scanning with consent and proactively maintains their competency and skills.
* Undertakes IUI procedures on completion and sign off with the training competency.
* Ensures the clinical record is stored and maintained in line with policy/guidance.
