We have a fantastic opportunity for a Clinical Psychologist to join a service for adults of a working age with mental health needs in the Thatcham area.
The successful candidate will be providing a specialist psychology service and play an integral role within the service and its strategic and clinical development.

Key responsibilities of THE Principal Psychologist or Forensic Psychologist:
1. Deputising for the Lead Psychologist in their absence
2. Taking a key role in service development
3. Carrying out assessments; designing individualised plans and strategies; implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions; report writing, attending and facilitating multi-professional reviews
4. Line Management of specified team members
5. Providing robust clinical supervision and support in appraisals and in the professional development of the team
6. Providing evidence based psychological assessment
7. Undertaking all aspects of Clinical Psychology duties adhering to professional and regulatory guidelines.
8. Provision of 1:1 and group interventions to patients to address a range of needs
9. Contributing to MDT care planning and review
10. Contributing to professional development within the team
11. Maintaining high standards of care in all areas of practice and in accordance the HCPC Code of Conduct, professional guidelines and Company Policies and Procedures.
12. Working collaboratively with others to promote the wellbeing and best interests of the those you support and the effectiveness of the service in achieving its aims and objectives, ensuring a high-quality service provision in line with best practice guidelines and internal policies and procedures.
Essential criteria of a Principal Psychologist or Forensic Psychologist:
13. To have BPS recognised psychology degrees
14. UK HCPC registration
15. To have Chartered Psychologist status and appropriate post-graduate qualifications
16. To be an approved supervisor within the guidelines of the BPS and relevant division
17. To have understanding of evidence-based psychological practice
18. To have experience of applying psychological knowledge to a Learning Disabilities and Autism setting
19. To be experienced working with clients with cognitive deficits
20. To have previous experience of conducting research and project working
