If the answer is yes, then we may have the job for you Based at our modern and well-equipped Fleet Maintenance Centre in Eastleigh, Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service (HIWFRS), are looking to recruit a highly motivated and experienced LGV technician. This position requires the applicant to be experienced and have extensive knowledge of the repair and servicing of LGV based vehicles. Other tasks will involve: Routine vehicle servicing on a variety of vehicles Vehicle repairs and maintenance New vehicle preparation Vehicle refurbishments Vehicle upgrades Routine equipment repairs, maintenance, and servicing If you are not a qualified and experienced LGV technician, we may still have opportunities for you. Applications would be accepted from highly qualified and experienced light vehicle technicians who are looking to develop their skill base and be willing to attend training courses to obtain skills enabling them to work on a variety of specialist vehicles, water pumps, high pressure firefighting systems and hydraulic equipment. Applications from qualified MOT testers would be an advantage. Maintenance and care are carried out across the 62 HIWFRS sites and you will be expected to complete tasks on fire stations and on occasions at the scene of operational incidents to ensure the readiness and availability of fleet and equipment assets. This position is based at Eastleigh, however on occasions you may be required to work at other HIWFRS locations within the county of Hampshire or on the Isle of Wight.
