Our client is a leading packaging manufacturer, part of a multi-billion-pound global group, with a reputation for product quality which is second to none and industry leading standards. Due to growth within the business, they are looking for a Business Development Manager to drive new business and manage existing accounts for customers along the M4 corridor.
Role & Responsibilities:
6. Reporting into the sales director, part of the UK team of business development managers, driving sales, high levels of customer service and account management
7. Meeting new and existing customers along the M4 Corridor daily
8. Developing new business opportunities and managing major accounts
9. Predominantly meeting with customers in the packaging, manufacturing, parcel distribution industries
10. 70% of the role – New business sales – identifying new accounts, B2B sales calls, face-to-face meetings, business development, prospective calling
11. 30% of the role – Account management – identify new sales in existing accounts, regular point of contact, new product introduction, manage customer contractual & supply agreements
12. Create structured territory plans, identify market trends, maintain multi-level contacts
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
13. Ideally be based in Swindon / Slough / Slough areas
14. Happy to travel daily along the M4 corridor to meet with customers
15. Remote role – confident and competent in managing own diary and time
16. Must have knowledge of the packaging industry
17. Be a results driven, motivated sales professional – 10+ years experience
18. Previously have field B2B sales experience
19. Excellent presentation skills – meeting with customers face-to-face daily
20. Strategic planning experience – territory mapping, use of CRM, account management
21. Able to communicate at all levels – sales team, financial, customers
22. Must have sound financial acumen and excellent customer relationship skills
