Description Tenancy Conditions Officer Permanent Grade 4 - £33,366 - £40,476 Working Hours 36.5p/w Job Purpose 1.1 To deal with disrepair/litigation legal claims against the Council through the investigation and understanding /interrogating of technical reports, property repairs records, inspection reports and all other relevant files, producing formal, written responses/reports which determine the Council’s position in terms of liability in these matters, enabling claims to be settled quickly, or defended as appropriate. Representing Birmingham City Council through attendance at court to give lay expert evidence on issued matters. 1.2 To support the Service Coordinator in the delivery of the disrepair & litigation service, including financial processes, performance management and supervision of a small team, and liaison with tenants, families, internal and external stakeholders including solicitors, local housing and repairs teams and others.
