Position: Head of Academic & Digital Practice
The Head of Academic & Digital Practice is a new role within the University of Cumbria. Forming part of the management team of our recently established professional service, Learning & Teaching Enhancement, and reporting directly to the Pro Vice Chancellor (Learning & Teaching), the postholder will play a critical role in the implementation of our Academic Strategy and Learning, Teaching & Assessment Plan. This is an exciting opportunity to operate at the forefront of our strategic and operational transformation of learning and teaching across our University community.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operate across academic Institutes and relevant Professional Services to enhance the learning experience for all students.
2. Ensure professional learning opportunities for staff remain impactful, effective, and timely.
3. Coordinate a streamlined approach to translating ambitions into teaching practice across all disciplines.
4. Oversee and promote the Cumbria Excellence in Learning & Teaching recognition scheme.
5. Provide coordination to new digital learning initiatives, engaging with AI opportunities and challenges.
