The School and Role
An SEN school based in Bournemouth is currently seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to start as soon as possible. The school provides a nurturing and inclusive environment for students with complex needs and disabilities, from Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) to Post 16. The school is designed to cater to the diverse learning styles and abilities of the students, ensuring they receive the support and resources they need to thrive.
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) who will work closely with our teaching staff and support students with a range of needs, including learning difficulties, physical disabilities, and emotional challenges. Your role will be vital in fostering an inclusive educational environment and ensuring that each child receives the individual support they require.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-to-one support to a specific student, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour support plans.
Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt teaching materials and methods to meet the unique needs of the student.
Foster a nurturing and supportive relationship with the student to enhance their social and emotional well-being.
Qualifications and Experience:
Experience working with children with special needs or challenging behaviour.
Understanding of various learning styles and the ability to adapt teaching methods accordingly.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for supporting the educational journey of every child.
