A world-leading industrial gases and engineering company require a Branch Manager at their top tier COMAH site in Crawley. Through a team of Shift Managers, you will have responsibility for the site, managing all budgetary and production cylinder filling & handling activities, ensuring safe and oversee the cost-effective management of the site personnel and services.
Duties
• We’re looking for someone who can guide and nurture our teams at our Crawley production site with care and purpose, as you’ll collaborate with others to ensure top-tier operations, ensure all activities run efficiently, safely, and to our customer’s needs - bringing out the best in both people and equipment
• You’ll oversee the daily cylinder filling and handling operations to ensure our site operates efficiently, safely, and sustainably, build positive partnerships, ensure objectives are achieved and lead a forward thinking and dedicated team
• You will champion safety & quality by inspiring high standards in Safety, Health, Environment & Quality (SHEQ) leadership, lead safety committees and audits ensuring compliance with regulations and embedding best practices
• Lead with vision as you'll oversee daily production and maintenance, managing resources and budgets to achieve targets while maintaining the highest safety and compliance standards
• You will inspire and empower a production team by supporting and developing them to thrive, ensuring they’re equipped, empowered, and skilled to succeed
• Furthermore, you will innovate and improve as you champion continuous improvements, optimise processes and drive productivity
• Safeguard the site by taking ownership of its infrastructure, security, assets, and emergency systems, ensuring everything runs seamlessly
Requirements
• Higher National Certificate (HNC) or Higher National Diploma (HND) or a willingness to achieve this, but different routes including a good level of on-the-job experience in a similar role count too
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and build positive relationships
• You are highly safety conscious and role model your working knowledge of Health and Safety practices and ISO standards to ensure safety, consistency, and compliance in everything we do
• Your leadership sees you inspire teams, foster collaboration, support development, and deliver great results
• Furthermore, as a problem solver, you are proactive and skilled at making thoughtful decisions under pressure
• A NEBOSH National General Certificate an advantage or support would be given to achieve this
