Hours: 8 hours a week - Thornleigh Avenue Bangor
Purpose:
To provide the best level of service to Winemark customers in accordance with the Company's standards and procedures. To assist the Store Manager in all aspects of the business including sales, security, and stock control.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist in customer relations by maintaining excellent customer service at all times, including an up-to-date knowledge of store products on display.
2. Identify selling opportunities and act on these.
3. Assume responsibility for housekeeping standards both inside and outside the store according to Company standards.
4. Ensure that stock is controlled and merchandised to Company standards at all times.
5. Assist with promotional set up.
6. Ensure that the premises are safe and secure at all times.
7. Comply with the Company regulations with regard to cash handling and administration.
8. Comply with all health and safety information and ensure compliance with all licensing and trading standards legislation.
9. Perform any other duties relevant and related to the post.
Qualifications:
Essential:
1. Maths and English GCSE Grade C or above or equivalent.
Desirable:
1. WSET Foundation Certificate.
Skills & Experience:
Essential:
1. Three months previous experience in a retail environment.
2. Proven ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
3. Customer focused, maintaining a professional level of customer service at all times.
4. Ability to actively sell to customers.
5. Personal drive and a pleasant, positive, and enthusiastic attitude.
6. Good standard of dress and appearance.
7. A good team player with the ability to work in a team environment.
Desirable:
1. Interest and/or knowledge of wine.
2. Previous experience of cash handling.
3. Previous experience of stock handling and control.
