MacGregor Black are working on behalf of a Leading Food Manufacturing business to recruit an experienced and commercially aware Finance Business Partner. This is a permanent role based in County Down.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic organisation where you will play a pivotal role in driving financial performance and supporting key business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
* Acting as a trusted financial adviser to operational and commercial teams, providing insights to support decision-making and improve business performance.
* Analysing financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and delivering actionable recommendations to enhance profitability and cost efficiencies.
* Partnering with stakeholders to develop budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
* Developing and delivering robust financial models and performance metrics to support commercial initiatives such as pricing strategies, product development, and investment opportunities.
* Supporting operational teams with variance analysis and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to meet and exceed financial targets.
* Preparing and presenting monthly management reports, highlighting key financial insights and providing clear recommendations.
* Driving continuous improvements in financial processes and systems to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams to evaluate new projects, tenders, and business opportunities from a financial perspective.
What are we looking for?
* Fully qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
* Previous experience in a finance business partner role, ideally within the food manufacturing, FMCG, or a similar industry.
* A strong understanding of commercial operations, including cost management, pricing, and margin analysis.
* Excellent ability to interpret and analyse complex data, draw meaningful insights, and effectively communicate findings to non-finance stakeholders.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and challenge stakeholders at all levels.
* A self-motivated individual with a solutions-focused mindset who can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience with financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems).
