Job Title : Specialty Doctor in Adult Psychiatry Grade : Specialty Doctor Hours : 40 hours per week Location : Liverpool, Merseyside Rate : Competitive, to be discussed upon application An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialty Doctor in Adult Psychiatry to join our esteemed NHS client’s dynamic inpatient team based in Liverpool, Merseyside. This position is available for an immediate start, offering competitive rates. Key Responsibilities : The Specialty Doctor in Adult Psychiatry will provide medical input to patients, ensuring safe and timely service provision. They will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, offering psychiatric assessments and interventions, managing and supervising junior medical staff, and liaising with internal and external interfaces concerning admissions and transfers/discharges. The doctor will ensure a high quality clinical service is provided to all service users, participate in service and business planning activities, and maintain professional registration with the General Medical Council. They will also participate in annual appraisals and the academic programme of the Trust, and comply with the Trust’s policies and procedures. Qualifications and Experience : Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Psychiatry. Full registration with the appropriate professional body. Section 12 approval. Expertise in psychiatric assessments and interventions. A high level of clinical skills as evidenced by peer review and reports. Evidence of incorporating core values of commitment, trust, integrity, and kindness into their work with others. Willingness to work flexibly across a range of clinic models, venues, and days of the week. Good communication skills and level of IT literacy. An interest to advance professionally as evidenced by attendance and contribution to reflective practice meetings, reliability meetings, and/or other CPD events within their professional clinical practice. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Commitment to Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
