We are looking for a Systems Engineer to join our team in Aberdeen. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, build and deployment of Real-time Information Systems and Solutions, whilst supporting our clients’ systems for the long term, through on-going development and maintenance. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to consult with clients to determine how to use Real-time Information Systems to deliver business benefits, primarily utilising the OSIsoft PI System and associated components. Salary: Up to £40,000 depending upon skills and experience. You will: Successfully complete all identified training both in-house and external, as required. Undertake a wide range of tasks related to the design, implementation, maintenance, and delivery of Real-time Information Systems solutions. Work with clients to identify solutions and enhancements for their systems that are appropriate to the needs of the clients. Support and provide long term development and maintenance of clients’ systems. Produce Requirements Specifications and input to Design Specifications. Develop and execute Test Specifications. Design and develop applications as part of Real-time Information Systems, principally using the OSIsoft PI System. Give clear, effective updates to Project Managers on status of their work. Work with Senior Engineers and team to review and clarify client requirements. Investigate and resolve problems with Real-time Information Systems. Work on client sites either in person or remotely. Suggest changes and improvements if opportunities arise. Engage in continuous learning to develop technical skills and knowledge relevant to system integration. Communicate with clients to understand their needs and ensure their satisfaction with the delivered system. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including project management, to ensure successful project delivery. Follow all health and safety regulations, procedures and protocols. Assist with any other duties reasonably requested and in line with the requirements of the post. We are looking for: Experience and Knowledge Proficient use of Microsoft Office products. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or computing related degree. Skills and Abilities High attention to detail. Good analytical and problem-solving ability. Ability to work to strict deadlines and deliver high quality results. Ability to multi-task, working on various issues throughout the working day. Good verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and client interaction.
