For more than 75 years, MAF has been transporting patients, relief workers, produce and medical supplies to the world’s remotest regions and places of deepest human need – places where flying is not a luxury but a lifeline We are looking for a strong proven leader with technical expertise, excellent communication skills who will oversee the IT operations and personnel in our Africa region and other locations. Our expectation is that you will deliver high quality, customer centric services to support MAFs mission and objectives. Salary: £48,000 per annum ( dependent on experience) Location: Office Based Role - Ashford, Kent. NOTE: Applicants must have the current, legal right to work in the UK. You will ensure reliable operations and maintenance of IT systems and telecom infrastructure, supporting digital transformation initiatives and adopt cloud computing solutions Working in collaboration with the Asia Pacific region you will ensure seamless IT operations and consistent service delivery alignment across both regions, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation and possess a service-orientated mindset, prioritising the needs of internal and external stakeholders across the organisation. When it comes to problem solving you will have a proactive approach and the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences. The nature of the role demands flexibility, as escalations and critical issues can occur at an time, requiring immediate attention and resolution. You would need to be prepared to adapt your schedule accordingly to accommodate these situations and ensure on-going operation of our services. It will be key to maintain clear communication and co-ordination across our international offices and ensure collaboration and alignment with the global team therefore staff meetings and conference calls that fall outside of typical office hours maybe required. There may also be a requirement for local and international travel from time to time. The post holder will be expected to lead and take part in prayer and biblical reflection and to be a role model for the organisation in accordance with our Christian beliefs and standards in the work place. Essential: BA Degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field Min of 5 years industry experience at a management level leading international IT teams Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex IT projects Experience working in a global multicultural environment Desirable: Relevant professional certifications (e.g CCNP, PMP, CSSP, AWS, CSA, Microsoft Azure SAE, ITIL) Familiarity with IT operations in the Africa region 10 years industry management level leading international IT teams
