Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) is a dynamic Christian aviation organisation, using light aircraft to deliver help and hope in Jesus’ name in over 30 developing countries. For more than 75 years, MAF has been transporting patients, relief workers, produce and medical supplies to the world’s remotest regions and places of deepest human need – places where flying is not a luxury but a lifeline.
We are looking for a strong proven leader with technical expertise and excellent communication skills who will oversee the local IT team in our Ashford office and IT operations and personnel in our Africa region. Our expectation is that you will deliver high quality, customer centric services to support MAF's mission and objectives. You will be committed to the organisation's values and have a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the communities served by MAF.
Salary: £48,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Location: Office Based Role - Ashford, Kent.

Responsibilities
* You will ensure reliable operations and maintenance of IT systems and telecom infrastructure, supporting digital transformation initiatives and adopting cloud computing solutions.
* Working in collaboration with the Asia Pacific region, you will ensure seamless IT operations and consistent service delivery alignment across both regions, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
* Possess a service-oriented mindset, prioritising the needs of internal and external stakeholders across the organisation.
* Proactively approach problem solving and effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
* Maintain flexibility, as escalations and critical issues can occur at any time, requiring immediate attention and resolution.
* Adapt your schedule accordingly to accommodate these situations and ensure ongoing operation of our services.
* Maintain clear communication and coordination across our international offices and ensure collaboration and alignment with the global team; staff meetings and conference calls may fall outside typical office hours.
* Local and international travel may be required from time to time.

Essential Qualifications, Skills & Experience
* BA Degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field.
* Minimum of 5 years industry experience at a management level leading international IT teams.
* Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex IT projects.
* Experience working in a global multicultural environment.
Desirable Qualifications, Skills & Experience
* Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CCNP, PMP, CSSP, AWS, CSA, Microsoft Azure SAE, ITIL).
* Familiarity with IT operations in the Africa region.
* 10 years industry management level experience leading international IT teams.
