The Real Estate Acquisition Analyst will work closely with members of the asset management and accounting teams and will be responsible for shepherding real estate investment opportunities through all aspects of the investment process, including acquisitions, dispositions, asset management, and portfolio reporting.
Job Location: Preferably Gibraltar. London may also be considered; however, relocation to Gibraltar is preferred.
Key Job Activities
RESEARCH AND ANALYSIS
* Support the investment team with financial analysis across various mandates, ensuring accuracy and adherence to internal timelines.
* Assist in preparing investment memorandums and conducting fundamental investment analysis, including basic computations (e.g., return multiples, correlations, and sensitivity analysis).
* Conduct initial research on potential acquisitions and assist in scenario analysis under guidance.
* Perform basic research on market trends, economic conditions, and business factors affecting company investments.
* Provide clear, concise reports or summaries of findings to senior team members.
* Learn to build and interpret financial models using Excel with support from the team.
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT AND ACQUISITION
* Assist in updating and maintaining the in-house Project Viability Model used for assessing real estate projects.
* Support underwriting property and portfolio assessments and evaluating the feasibility of new investments under supervision.
* Help organize internal acquisition meetings by gathering and presenting up-to-date information on live deals.
* Collaborate with internal teams and external advisors to assist in the analysis and execution of deal flow.
* Contribute to the team’s understanding of market trends by tracking and sharing relevant data.
DUE DILIGENCE
* Assist senior management and the legal team with due diligence tasks related to potential investment opportunities.
* Help maintain and improve quantitative models and techniques used for valuation and risk management.
* Collaborate with investment managers, analysts, and third-party advisors to gather and process necessary data.
* Contribute to the preparation of investor reports and communications under direction.
* Help identify potential risks in investments based on current market conditions.
* Participate in various ongoing projects to support the investment process.
* Perform day-to-day data entry and administrative tasks to ensure smooth workflow.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related fields (real estate background is a plus).
* Up to 2 years of experience in financial analysis, investments, or related fields (internships or entry-level roles in real estate or finance are welcome).
* Basic understanding of real estate valuation methods and market analysis (training will be provided).
* Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
* Strong analytical skills and ability to work with data for solving problems.
* Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage priorities effectively.
* Ability to learn cashflow modelling, including exposure to debt financing.
* Team player with good interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
* Strong business writing skills and a professional approach to tasks.
* Eagerness to take initiative, meet deadlines, and handle multiple tasks.
* Self-motivated and willing to develop in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
* Fluent in English, with strong communication and presentation abilities.
* Positive, proactive attitude and flexibility in adapting to changing priorities and circumstances.
* Candidates must hold a valid UK work permit.
Salary package: £30.000-40.000
