Band 7 Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist
Location: Kettering
Job Type: Part-time/Full-time (2-3 days a week between Monday and Friday)

What you will do:
1. Conduct comprehensive dysphagia assessments and develop care plans focusing on children under one year.
2. Deliver specialist speech and language therapy interventions tailored to paediatric patients' communication and swallowing needs.
3. Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team including paediatricians, occupational therapists, and nurses to provide holistic care.
4. Contribute to service development by participating in audits, research, and quality improvement initiatives.
5. Offer guidance and support to patients and families, promoting understanding and management of communication and swallowing disorders.
Requirements:
Must be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Experience:
At least two years of experience in paediatric speech and language therapy, with expertise in dysphagia assessment and care planning for children under one.
Skills and Knowledge:
1. Proven competence in dysphagia assessment and management.
2. Strong clinical skills in paediatric speech and language therapy.
3. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
4. Familiarity with System One and possession of a Smartcard.
5. Transport: Preferably a car driver with access to transport for travel between sites.
