Preschool Assistant
The Mowbray Education Trust are seeking to recruit a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to work in the Preschool at Sherard Primary School in Melton Mowbray. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and talented practitioner who has a desire for working with Preschool age children.
The working hours will be 26 hours per week, 8:15am – 3:45pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 8:45am – 1:45pm Tuesday, term time only (38 weeks).
The Sherard Preschool is situated within Sherard Primary School and provides provision for children aged 2+ to school age. The preschool has various indoor play spaces and a range of outdoor spaces. We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring and motivated individual to provide a high standard of childcare for children between the ages of 2 and 5 years. You will have a Level 3 Early year’s Education and Childcare qualification or equivalent. Along with good interpersonal skills, you will be committed to working with young children and families and be able to work effectively as part of a small friendly team.
About the Mowbray Education Trust
The Mowbray Education Trust (MET) is a multi-academy trust currently educating around 2,500 children from the age of 2 to 16 in the town of Melton Mowbray and surrounding villages in the Borough of Melton. The MET currently has one secondary school, five primary schools and one pre-school: with potential numerical and geographical growth in the future. Melton Mowbray is a rural market town in Leicestershire which is easily commutable from Grantham, Leicester, Loughborough, Nottingham and Oakham. The MET has a central support services team, with staff managing Estates, Finance, HR, IT and Operations, across our schools. The central team are based at offices within John Ferneley College and The Grove Primary in Melton Mowbray.

The remuneration package includes a competitive salary, contributory public-sector pension scheme and a generous annual leave entitlement:
• Salary: £14,083.40 (FTE £24,033)
• Local Government Pension Scheme membership
• 5.7 weeks paid holiday entitlement rising to 6.44 weeks after 5 years’s continuous service
