Corin is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) is to ensure that the quality of the products or services provided by the supplier is consistent with the agreed-upon requirements. This includes establishing quality standards for raw materials, conducting supplier audits, and monitoring supplier performance to ensure compliance. This is a site based role in Cirencester, Gloucestershire (easily commutable from Swindon, Cheltenham, Stroud) as you will be working cross functional across Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Engineering.
The key responsibilities of the Supplier Quality Engineer are to;
* Work in a team environment with suppliers to develop and implement best practices that emphasise defect prevention, reduction in variation and waste in order to provide continuous improvements to meet customer requirements.
* Collect root cause analysis and provide corrective feedback to minimise potential for disruption to production due to supply issues.
* Maintain & progress supplier non-conformances/records via Electronic Quality Management System.
* Manage the customer specific requirements and offer technical support to suppliers.
* Ensure that the products produced meet quality standards required minimising quality costs and maximising customer satisfaction whilst ensuring that procedures and processes are adhered to.
* Introduce initiatives based on general supplier development/improvement.
* Maintain the robustness of product following new product introductions to ensure continuity and improvement in supplier capability.
* Work on multiple phases or sub-tasks of projects or entire projects of high complexity, with results impacting on project completion.
* Work with suppliers to ensure supplied parts and materials meet safety, quality, cost and delivery requirements.
* Conduct regular Quality Review Meetings with key suppliers and provide report to Senior Management when required.
* Develop, document and maintain a supplier rating system and report to both suppliers and Senior Management.
* Conduct Supplier reviews/ audits to ensure the supplier processes meet our requirements.
* Adhere to Quality Management System (QMS) requirements in line with Corin’s ISO13485 QMS & Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) FDA21 CFR Part 820.
* Ensure that process & timeline requirements for Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA) are met in accordance with Corin’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and in support of Corin’s Global Objectives for CAPA.
The ideal Supplier Quality Engineer will have;
* Experience in a Supplier Quality Engineering within a Mechanical Engineering environment, preferably in the Medical Device sector.
* The ability to read engineering drawings
* Good problem-solving skills
* Experience of supplier quality development
* Excellent communication skills.
* Driving Licence
