About the role
Responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of Property Projects across Royal Mail Group. The Property Manager will be accountable for the day to day management of IT elements relating to various Property projects across the country.
Key accountabilities
* Accountable for planning & designing IT elements of Property Projects and proactively monitoring overall progress, resolving issues and initiating corrective action as appropriate
* Accountable for delivery of the IT elements to the business case (time, cost, quality); managing the projects IT budget, monitoring the expenditures and costs against delivered and realised benefits as the Project progresses
* Accountable for ensuring that the delivery of products or services to the projects is to the appropriate levels of quality, on time and within budget, in accordance with the project plan and project governance arrangements
* Plans, directs & coordinates activities to manage & implement the IT elements of Property Projects from contract/proposal initiation to final operational stage. Prioritisation of conflicting requirements and interdependencies within the project
* Working closely with and advising the Business Project Manager, accountable for creating a shared vision for a Project’s outcome
* Defining the project's IT governance arrangements; managing project stakeholders if the IT vision (or the means of achieving it) changes as the project progresses
* Quality assurance and overall integrity of the IT elements of projects - focusing inwardly on the internal consistency of the project; and outwardly on its coherence with infrastructure planning, interfaces with other IT/Property projects and corporate technical and specialist standards
* Initiating extra activities and other management interventions wherever gaps in the IT elements of the project are identified or issues arise.
About You
• Qualification ideal but not essential CNIDP, RCDD, recognised Project management qualification.
• Experience of delivering IT projects into both new build and existing premises
• Experience of design, specifying and costing IT infrastructure works in buildings and comms rooms.
• Experience of managing multiple 3rd party suppliers to deliver a co-ordinated service to the customer.
• Able to prepare and present project plans and status reports to organisational leadership, project teams and customer groups.
• Knowledge and experience of structured cabling and core networking infrastructure
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams and stakeholders effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving ability and a proactive approach to project management.
• Health and safety compliance, upholding industry best practices and standards.
