What you will do in your working day
Reporting to our Creative Director and under the supervision and guidance of our MD, you will gain hands-on experience in various digital marketing channels and techniques.
Learning and implementing a variety of marketing knowledge and skills across a variety of platforms, your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of:
● Campaign Planning and Execution:
Bringing your creative ideas to the planning table, you will work to build them into long-term creative strategies; seeing ideas through from generation to implementation to analysis.
● Social Media Management:
Know your reels from your stories? Understand track choice and hashtags? In this role you will monitor social media trends and identify opportunities to increase our clients’ brand visibility and engagement, as well as generate content and schedule posts for best reach.
● Content & PR:
Create and distribute engaging (and SEO-friendly) content for clients across our portfolio; this would include: blog posts, articles and videos. Write engaging press releases and build a reliable network of press and media contacts to cascade stories too. Monitor and report reach.
● Email Marketing:
Assist in testing to optimise our clients’ email campaign performance. Prepare content via e-newsletters and monitor and analyse data.
● Search Engine Optimization (SEO):
Learn and apply SEO best practices to improve our clients’ website visibility and organic search rankings. Help conduct keyword research and optimise clients’ website content accordingly.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Assist in gathering data from various marketing platforms and tools to evaluate our clients’ marketing efforts. Prepare reports on campaign performance and present findings to the Creative Director.
● Market Research:
Conduct research on industry trends, customer behaviours, and competitor activities to inform our marketing strategies.
● Communication and Collaboration:
Work closely with other team members and departments at Sideways Media to align marketing efforts with the company’s overall business objectives. Stay up to date with digital marketing trends and industry developments to contribute effectively to Sideways Media’s and our clients' marketing initiatives.
The training you will be getting
Our Multi-Channel Marketer apprenticeship programme offers a flexible and customisable delivery model that combines on-site and remote training and support. Learners will work closely with a dedicated assessor who will provide regular support through monthly remote visits and scheduled face-to-face meetings as needed. We also offer a purely remote delivery option that includes online learning materials, virtual classrooms, and regular remote support from the assessor.
Throughout the apprenticeship, learners will have access to a variety of learning resources and ongoing support from our experienced trainers. Our goal is to help learners build the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to excel in their role as a multi-channel marketer and make a valuable contribution to their employer's business goals.
What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, there is the opportunity to progress into a permanent role.
