Shipping Administrator based in Burnley, Lancashire
Main function is to perform the administration duties and assist the Shipping Co-Ordinator on all projects to ensure the Shipping Team complete smooth execution of Freight via various methods worldwide.
Role Specific Responsibilities
* Preparing Commercial Invoices & Packing Lists for shipments (Sea Freight, Air Freight, Road Freight, Courier)
* Place bookings with Freight Forwarders for Air, Sea & Road Shipments
* Manage the Import Procedure for all incoming orders into the UK
* Raise Purchase Orders for all Freight / Logistics services
* Liaising with relevant departments (Supply Chain, Workshop, Mobilisation, Projects)
* General administration to include filing, photocopying, scanning, archiving, and creating new folders electronically
* Liaising with internal customers on status updates of shipments, internal task management system
Job Specific Education Required:
Work Experience Required:
* Administration experience is essential
* Knowledge of Shipping / Logistics - desirable
* Understanding of UK import procedures - desirable
