The operations mechanical and electrical maintenance teams sit within the Estates and Facilities Directorate. The teams play a critical part in Estates and Facilities operations providing all mechanical and electrical services to ensure the university is meeting its legal obligations with regards to all reactive, planned, and statutory compliant maintenance across all our campuses and outlying areas.
We are currently looking for an individual to come and join our vibrant and dynamic team who are self-motivated and proactive individuals with an ethos for teamwork, collaboration, and support for others.
You should have proven technical qualifications, work experience and proficiency in one major technical area (mechanical or electrical maintenance) with sufficient exposure in other technical areas.
You should also have proven leadership and management skills to prioritise, lead and inspire technical operational teams.
Applications for this post are invited from persons with the appropriate management or supervisory skills of mechanical, electrical and administrative operational teams. Applicants must have a sound knowledge of mechanical and electrical maintenance and reporting, minor works coordination, computerised maintenance management systems and construction in new and refurbishment work. You will also have working knowledge of current Health and Safety legislation and statutory requirements.
Salary will be at the appropriate point on Grade 6, £38,249 - £45,413 per annum, with placement according to qualifications and experience.
