We're currently recruiting a dedicated Waste Operative to help ensure the smooth running of the operations in Defence on a full time basis, contracted to 35 hours per week. As a Waste Operative, you will use your skills to provide an efficient and effective support service in respect of waste management duties, providing an excellent service at all times to the relevant stakeholders. Here's what you need to know before applying: Your key responsibilities will include: To carry out the various daily, weekly, periodic, and cleaning duties in Stores, CFB and public areas as required under the contract service level agreement and follow the cleaning schedule as directed by your line manager Ensure you are aware of & comply with all client & company health & safety procedures and standards at all times e.g. Food Handling, COSHH, uniforms & PPE, Manual handling, Fire procedures, Quality control. Ensuring all correct PPE is worn at all times. Complete, maintain and update all Health & Safety paperwork correctly when required. Maintain the cleanliness of working areas ensuring Health and Safety hazards, issues, near misses and accidents are reported using the appropriate reporting procedures at the earliest opportunity, this also includes vehicles. Ensure the correct storage, control and use of all machinery and equipment, cleaning materials and relevant chemicals.
