Procurement Buyer
Location: Fareham
Hours: 8.00 - 4.30 Monday - Thursday, 8.00 - 1.30 Friday (37 hours total)
Job Purpose
To provide procurement services to Sales & Operations Manager and collate/upload/process data onto the MRP system (OrderWise – training provided).
Duties And Responsibilities
1. Raise and process RFQ’s / RFI’s
2. Raise PO’s
3. Ensure PO’s are raised against correct financial authority
4. Negotiate pricing with suppliers
5. Update MRP system with data relevant to compliance, Safety Data Sheets, shelf life and export controls
6. Process first level checks for supplier invoices to PO’s on Orderwise
7. Follow process for obsolescence management
8. Collate customer compliance information for the supply of spares
9. Collate information to update and review approved suppliers list
10. Run PO acknowledgement reports
11. Answer and direct customer telephone calls
12. Booking in stock
13. Run late and upcoming delivery reports
14. Chase late deliveries with suppliers
Qualifications
Education
1. CIPS Level 2 or 3 (or working towards)
Skills
1. Be able to work on own initiative
2. MS Office skills
3. Keen eye for detail
4. Be able to effectively communicate in both written and verbal format
