Carbon60 are seeking an Electrical Commissioning Engineer to join our client's team on a contract basis supporting a Waste from Energy site in Cheshire.

Key responsibilities, accountabilities and decision ownership:
* Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to develop commissioning plans, schedules, and procedures for various construction projects.
* Lead commissioning activities by conducting thorough inspections, tests, and verifications of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other building systems.
* Review design documentation and construction drawings to ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and codes.
* Coordinate and conduct functional performance tests to ensure that building systems and equipment operate as intended.
* Identify and resolve any issues, deficiencies, or deviations during the commissioning process, working closely with construction and engineering teams.
* Document commissioning activities, observations, and results in comprehensive reports for clients and internal records.
* Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
* Provide technical expertise and support to construction teams during the installation and recommissioning of systems.
* Stay updated on industry best practices, new technologies, and regulatory requirements related to commissioning and construction.
Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
* Proven experience in commissioning, construction, or a related field within the construction industry.
* Strong understanding of powertrain and BoP systems, codes, standards, and regulations.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
* Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for clear documentation and client interactions.
* Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
* Proficiency in using commissioning tools, software, and equipment.
* Demonstrated leadership capabilities and the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
* Flexibility to adapt to changing project demands and travel to project sites as required.
* Must have technical / professional qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Engineering or a related field. Professional Engineering (PE) license is a plus.
* Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) certification and familiarity with environmental and safety protocols is advantageous.
