Summary: The Financial Accountant plays a critical role in producing the financial numbers, reports and analyses which drive our business. This person will lead and manage the financial reporting of the newly commissioned plant in Milton Keynes as well as contribute to the wider financial control function within Kegstar. This person will also take on the management duties of the AR/AP accountant who is responsible for all sales and purchase invoices, payments and customer collections. In addition, this position plays a pivotal role in creating budgets, forecasts, driving system improvements and completing our compliance requirements. Duties And Responsibilities Develop and maintain accurate reconciliation of cost ledgers for the plant Ensure that the accounting treatment of the plant conforms to MicroStar’s internal accounting policy Lead the AR/AP accountant and ensure effective and timely reconciliation of the AR and AP subledgers Develop & maintain efficient / effective reconciliations of the main ledger accounts Cash management forecasting Month end reporting and mid-month forecasting Customer reporting on volumes and revenue Budget preparation and review with internal stakeholders Systems and pricing integrity ensuring customer information and pricing is accurately captured in our ERP system Assist in resolving audit queries with clear reconciliations Compliance reporting of VAT in Ireland and Netherlands Process improvement and driving increased automation in all financial processes Required Competencies Effective Communication – consider the best way to get the point across and communicate equally well to management, team and customers Teamwork – stay focused on the group effort, sensitive to others’ needs and participate openly and honestly High Personal Standards – lead by example Concern for Accuracy – double check and verify Take Initiative – be proactive rather than reactive Innovation – look for new and better ways of doing things Qualifications University degree or equivalent 4 - 6 years of relevant experience in accountancy Experience with Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel knowledge Experience with ERP systems and extracting data Experience with data analysis Experience with Power BI or Tableau a plus Travel Requirement This role will be based at our Milton Keynes facility with travel required to our London office as required Supervisory Responsibilities Yes Working Conditions / Physical Requirements This position is located in an office environment Other Duties The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, experience, education, specialty and training.
