Our Graduate Programme
We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager (Graduate) to support the delivery of key projects. You will have the opportunity to develop your leadership skills, playing an active role in the project team in a supporting role, working alongside the Project Manager.
Our two-year graduate scheme is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to begin their career in Project Management within a technical design environment, giving you the opportunity to work with industry-leading teams and equip you with the skills that you need to begin a successful career in the design and engineering industry. You’ll be part of the team and get involved in a wide variety of projects to develop your experience from the very first day.
If you are eager to develop your Project management skills, our team is ready to mentor and train you. We welcome applicants with a knowledge of or background interest in engineering design.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Monitoring design progress, application and management of project management processes, maintaining project registers and documents, producing reports, as well as helping to resolve design issues, and supporting quality and commercial processes.
* Support the overall coordination and compliance of the design output.
* Contributing to the planning and development of projects.
* Supporting the management of project delivery and monitor and report on project progress.
* Completing any tasks assigned by the Project Manager in an efficient and timely manner.
* Organise and contribute to project meetings.
* Support the application of company quality procedures across the project.
What we're looking for
* Degree or equivalent in a relevant subject.
* Willingness to progress towards a professional qualification, nominally through APM (Association of Project Managers).
* Highly organised and able to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Able to work independently and as part of a team.
* Be prepared to be immersed in all aspects of design delivery and project management.
Due to the recent changes to salary thresholds set by UKVI, BakerHicks graduate positions do not meet the requirements to support new entrant visa sponsorship. Therefore, all applicants must have the permanent right to work in the United Kingdom.
Additionally, many of the positions within our company are subject to security clearance. This means that your eligibility for certain roles may be affected by various factors. The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain security clearance for this role as required by our clients and sectors.
