Pay Range: £85 - £93 per day
About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant EYFS team in Oldham. The ideal candidate will be someone with a passion for education and a particular focus on supporting children with Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC) alongside providing personal care. You will be a critical link between the needs of the children and the class teacher, helping to create a safe, nurturing environment that stimulates and aids learning.
Responsibilities:
1. Providing targeted support to children with ASC, adapting to their needs and ensuring their personal and academic development.
2. Assisting the EYFS teacher in planning and implementing a curriculum that meets the early learning goals.
3. Aiding in the preparation of learning materials and the classroom environment for a diverse range of activities and lessons.
4. Working with small groups or on a one-to-one basis to reinforce learning objectives and assess comprehension.
5. Managing behaviour effectively through positive reinforcement and clear expectations.
6. Ensuring the personal care needs of certain children are met with dignity and in accordance with safeguarding protocols.
7. Liaising with parents, caregivers, and other professionals as necessary.
8. Contributing to reports on students' progress and participating in meetings as required.
9. Maintaining a clean and organized learning environment.
10. Commit to professional development and training opportunities relevant to the role.
Requirements:
1. Minimum of 2 years UK classroom-based experience, ideally within the EYFS setting.
2. Recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
3. Proven experience working with ASC and managing personal care.
4. Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
5. A warm and patient approach to working with young children.
6. Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively as part of a team.
7. Enhanced DBS check or willing to obtain one.
8. Understanding and knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
9. Legal right to work in the UK.
