About the role
This role is a brilliant opportunity for an entrepreneurial PR manager to help build a PR division in a thriving and ambitious brand and creative agency.
Working in partnership with our clients and the Designate brand team, the PR manager will play a key role in enhancing our client’s brand awareness and reputation across the media and associated channels and several B2C and B2B verticals but with a particular emphasis on FS, health and travel.
You will be working in collaboration with the wider Designate team, and you’ll be expected to work closely with our client’s other external agencies and partners.
What will you be doing:
· An experienced PR professional with 7+ years of agency or client-side experience..
· Demonstrable experience of building relationships with media
· Experience managing a PR agency/client relationship.
· Solid understanding of the role PR plays in social media and the digital marketing ecosystem.
· Strong in writing and creative development.
· Proactive and able to understand key issues and media opportunities for clients and create campaigns that drive media coverage
· Expertise in monitoring and reporting on engagement and campaign performance (methodologies and technology).
· A great collaborator, strong in both internal and external communications.
· An individual who thrives in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
· A real people person, who can bring colleagues on a journey.
· Work with cross-functional teams to achieve common event goals.
· Plan, create, deliver and measure highly targeted, audience specific communications.
· Strategically advise the team on engaging content for a variety of formats and channels, including for email, whitepapers, blogs, and social media.
· Collaborate with Sales, Strategy & Marketing Leads to intake regional campaign strategies, stories, and KPIs.
· Partner with Creative to ensure creative assets developed meet the needs of the performance marketing plan, including opportunities to test and learn across audience segments.
· Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate complex information in a simple and clear manner that is understandable.
· Detail-driven, self-starting, and critical mind with the ability to handle multiple projects at once.
What you need to be great in this role:
· An understanding of an agency background with client-side experience will be advantageous in this role.
· Experience of building and sustaining meaningful client partnerships whilst maintaining a strong commercial focus.
· Confident working autonomously and with 3rd party agencies.
· Excellent presentation skills – both written and spoken.
· Understanding of how to integrate with a client-side team whilst maintaining a top tier agency service.
