Do you have a passion and the experience to lead a team to support victims of crime and reparation. We need a committed, motivated, enthusiastic leader to join the Youth Justice Service Management team to support the development and function of a high-quality victim liaison service, delivery of reparation and overseeing the management of Volunteer Co-ordinator and volunteers. One of the purposes of Youth Justice Services is to support the victims of crime and work with children to create safer communities and fewer victims. This lead role will oversee the day-to-day management of Victim Liaison Officers, ensuring The Victims Code of Practice is adhered to and compliance with His Majesty’s Inspectorate of Probations Inspection (HMIP) standards.
Restorative practice is a significant part of Hull Youth Justice Services approach to support for victims and intervention for children, to develop positive pro social identities for the children involved in offending and facilitate the victims voice being heard. The post holder will ensure we maximise the opportunities for this approach at all levels of the service alongside managing the reparation responsibilities of the service whilst looking to develop and extend opportunities within the local community and partnerships, ensuring health and safety is adhered to all times.
