Job Description
As a Business Development & Marketing Manager at Gabbitas London, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our growth and executing marketing strategies that enhance our brand visibility, engage our audience, and drive business growth. You will be responsible for identifying new leads and business development opportunities, building strong client relationships and creating strategic partnerships. You will also oversee all marketing activities, collaborate with our cross-functional teams, and implement marketing initiatives across various channels that resonate with our target audience and align with our company goals and objectives.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities and excellent communication, negotiation, research and problem-solving skills. You will be collaborative yet comfortable with taking the initiative and confidently developing and implementing marketing strategies and campaigns.
Please note that we are currently working a hybrid model where you will be present in the Central London office 3 days a week.

Key Responsibilities:
* Develop a good understanding of the businesses' products and services.
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities in existing and emerging markets.
* Create and implement comprehensive business development and marketing strategies in alignment with company objectives to drive revenue growth.
* Conduct market research to identify industry and consumer trends, competitive analysis, and potential growth opportunities.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients, partners, and other key stakeholders.
* Basic management of both Gabbitas and UKiset websites; keeping copy up to date, adding new content, and making general copy and image changes when needed.
* Lead marketing initiatives, including digital marketing, content creation, and social media strategies to enhance brand awareness and customer engagement.
* Consistent posting and scheduling of industry news and promotional material across all Gabbitas and UKiset social media platforms.
* Coordinate the planning and execution of marketing campaigns, promotions, and events.
* Newsletter and email campaign creation: writing content and blogs to link through to, updating the CRM database, and providing and analysing post-campaign reports.
* Collaborate with other departments to create compelling marketing materials and campaigns, including supporting their marketing needs or ad hoc requests.
* Monitor and report on the effectiveness of business development and marketing initiatives, using insights to improve future strategies.
* Attend industry events and networking functions to promote our services and expand our network.
* Keep up with industry trends and best practices to ensure our marketing efforts remain innovative and effective.
* Occasionally, you may be required to work outside normal hours to attend business events, meet project deadlines or conduct overnight or overseas travel.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Bachelor’s degree or higher (preferred).
* A minimum of four years' experience in marketing and business development.
* An understanding of the independent education sector (preferred).
* Very strong written communication, proofreading and research skills, as well as an affinity and talent for copywriting.
* An excellent track record of successfully leading business development initiatives and gaining and retaining new business and partnerships.
* Strong interpersonal and networking skills for building and developing client relationships.
* Knowledge of tools such as Hootsuite, WordPress, Canva, Adobe Suite (preferred).
* Experience working across a range of social media platforms.
* Commercial awareness/good business sense and vision for developing our services.
* Effective time-management skills and the ability to multitask and prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
* Attention to detail, independent initiative, and be comfortable with responsibility and setting goals.
* Flexible approach to work and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
* A ‘can do’ attitude, calm, positive and conscientious approach to work.
* Ability to work within, and contribute to, a close-knit team and work collaboratively.
* Willingness to learn, adapt and improve.
Additional information:
Location: Central London – hybrid, 3 days in the office
Hours: 9am-5pm, five days a week
Salary: £30,000-£32,000 per annum + bonus depending on the candidate’s previous experience.
Start date: Effective immediately
