Job Purpose
Carry out, supervise or coordinate site repairs and general maintenance needed for equipment, furniture, masonry and building structures to maintain the Club property in optimal condition and appearance.
Supervise Maintenance Assistants, where applicable.
Job Tasks/Duties
* Coordinates the servicing and repairing of systems for lighting, heating, ventilating, fire, drainage, plumbing, electrical, painting and related maintenance activities.
* Monitors major work carried out by outside contractors and communicates the status and outcome of each project to the Head of Club Experience.
* Maintains accurate maintenance and repair records of equipment and machinery.
* Hires, supervises, schedules, trains and evaluates Maintenance Assistants, where applicable.
* Visually inspects Club areas, public spaces and back of the house areas to replace light bulbs, lamps, switches etc.
* Ensures that all building maintenance, repair and follow-up cleaning activities are identified, scheduled and completed.
* Responsible for the maintenance, smooth running and safety of diverse areas of the Club such as outdoor areas (exc. golf course), swimming pools/wet areas and other recreational areas. Providing preventative training to team members as and when required.
* Keeps the workshop areas safe, clean and well-lit.
* Responds to maintenance emergencies.
* Collects maintenance and work orders from department heads for approval by the Club Director/General Manager or the Head of Club Experience.
* Maintains inventory of consumables, maintenance, repair and related supplies and works within budgetary constraints.
* Develops and maintains a resource management plan that outlines short-term and long-term requirements for repair and maintenance, capital requirements and capital replacement.
* Fully conversant with the Club's Health & Safety policy and emergency procedures for fire and accident, reporting any accidents in the prescribed manner; acts as Fire Officer and carries out risk assessments and testing as required.
* Ensures a highly efficient safety programme with emphasis on awareness, discipline and compliance; implements an overall safety programme that conforms to HSE standards.
* Completes other appropriate assignments given by the Club General Manager or the Head of Club Experience.
* To ensure a high degree of personal presentation and hygiene in line with the company's dress and appearance policy.
* To be a positive ambassador for the Company's CARE values at all times.
* Duty Management shifts as and when required and where applicable.
Education and/or Experience
* Post-secondary vocational training in electrical engineering, plumbing, HVAC or refrigeration desirable.
* Experience of maintenance in a commercial setting preferred.
* Pool plant trained is desirable
Licenses and Special Requirements
* Any pertinent professional certification.
