Job Description
Gerald Eve is on an exciting journey to reposition its approach to sustainability within our new framework, Our Shared Purpose. This will include re-baselining our carbon footprint and setting new reduction targets. We are looking for a Coordinator to join the team to support this transition. This is a newly created position, so a great opportunity to shape the role as it progresses. The successful candidate will be reporting into our Sustainability Manager.
This role will be created specifically to lead on the management of our corporate carbon emissions data. Key responsibilities will include the collection, organisation and managing of emissions data from various sources across the business and working with our environmental data certification provider to drive progress against our Net Zero Carbon ambitions.
Additional responsibilities will include:
* Collaborate with internal teams to gather relevant information and ensure comprehensive data collection for reporting processes and data verification.
* Support analysing sustainability data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for carbon emissions reductions.
* Support the preparation of reports for Greenhouse Gas emissions and sustainability performance.
* Coordinate responses to ESG surveys and questionnaires, support the Business Development teams with sustainability narrative for bids.
* Provide ad-hoc support to the service lines in preparing sustainability narrative for clients.
* Support the Sustainability Manager in coordinating the Green Ambassador meetings and working groups throughout the year.
* Help organise and coordinate sustainability initiatives, events, and projects, as part of our Green Ambassador programme.
* Organise and maintain a sustainability action tracker throughout the year.
* Overseeing the social value activity that goes on across the company with an opportunity to drive this within the firm. Capture social value activity in a firm-wide tracker.
Desirable skills and qualities:
* Understanding of GHG emissions reporting under the GHG protocol.
* Familiarity with carbon emissions reduction targets (Net Zero Carbon and Science Based Targets). Technical skills are not a pre-requisite, but awareness around targets is expected.
* Strong interest in sustainability generally. Interest in corporate real estate, though prior experience in the sector is not a necessity.
* Well organised, with attention for detail.
* Good communications skills – both written and vocal.
* Confidence in handling large datasets.
* Strong knowledge of MS Excel.
