Job Purpose To support a 63-year-old gentleman who lives with Asperger’s with daily living tasks and accessing his passion for all things related to wrestling. Location: Sheringham Details I have one passion in life and that is wrestling, be it male or female wrestling. If you share my passion for wrestling, please read on This role may entail you taking me to a wrestling gym in Norwich (or maybe another location in Norfolk) and offering me moral support while I work out with my instructor. Every three months or so we will attend a wrestling match usually in the evening, we will watch the event and then go to the autograph signings which happen after the event, getting home around midnight. So you need to be aware of this. Hopefully sometime in the future I will take part in disabled wrestling matches myself, this is my dream. This would involve taking me to the matches, supporting me backstage and during the event as needed (once every three months). Other times we will watch wrestling DVDs at home from my extensive collection and discuss the moves made by the wrestlers. As you’ve probably gathered most of our time together will be talking about wrestling There are other possibilities that are being considered and that might involve going to Manchester for a weekend to see Wrestling. Also will be hoping you will support me to reach out to wrestlers for signed photos. I am also a big Kindle reader and would like support to approach publishing houses to see if they might be publishing some of my most favourite books to Kindle. I am a gentle, well mannered man by nature and consider myself a gentleman. When we go out you will also need to ensure I have eaten adequately and that I bring everything that is required for our trip such as my sunglasses and hat as I am sensitive to light sometimes. Probably about once every 3 months we will be out late at a match. Desirable · A level of autism awareness or the willingness to increase knowledge of autism and take on some suitable autism training provided by the employer. · Willing to watch the film The Peanut Butter Falcon prior to interview if possible. This is because the lead character Zak who has Down’s Syndrome - that is ME, except I have Asperger’s. It also sums up how I feel about wrestling. Summary terms and conditions · The rate of pay for this position is £12.00 per hour for employed PA and £15.13 for self-employed PA. · You will be reimbursed for any agreed expenses incurred as part of the role. · Hours and times of work: 13 hours per week, days and hours will vary, to be discussed further at the interview. · Petrol costs at £0.49 per mile and match costs will be reimbursed.
