Job Role: Mechanic Job Location: Wyre Forest District Council Salary: £20 Per Hour Working period: Monday - Friday 09:00 - 17:30 Working Hours: 37 hours per week Assignment period: 3-6 Months Ongoing Key Responsibilities: Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide range of vehicles and equipment. Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. Identify and resolve mechanical issues in a timely manner. Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including repairs, parts used, and service history. Collaborate with other team members to ensure the smooth operation of our fleet. Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in vehicle technology. Qualifications: Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably in a municipal or fleet environment. Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent). Strong knowledge of vehicle systems and repair techniques. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Valid driving license.
