Are you looking to develop an interesting and rewarding career in an ambitious city? Are you highly motivated, professional, and friendly? We are looking for experienced Electricians to work in our Safety Services team.
Southampton is a city of opportunity. Can you help us deliver the vision for the entire city, ensuring we leave a positive legacy for future generations?
About You:
You will be part of the busy Safety Services team undertaking electrical work in some of our larger projects. This may include ECR testing, rewiring, fire stopping works, kitchen and bathroom replacement programme, and disabled adaptations. The post holder must hold an NVQ3 in Electrical Installations, C&G 2360 (2357), AM2, 2391, and the 18th Edition Regulations qualifications.
Experience and knowledge in this field is a must. You will need a full clean driving licence in order to drive our vehicles and will also be required to undergo a DBS check as part of the pre-employment checks.
As the work is varied, a flexible approach is required to meet changing needs and tight deadlines. Excellent customer service skills, enthusiasm, and a ‘can do’ attitude are essential as you’ll be our ambassador when you visit our customers’ homes to deliver materials and assist in carrying out repairs and installations to the highest of standards. You will liaise with residents, peers, and colleagues on a daily basis, so communication and customer focus will be essential to the role. Organisational, customer service, time management, and physical skills are key to this role.
