Our culture and our state-of-the-art technology give us the platform to continuously grow in a dynamic and exciting industry Opportunity: The Production Supervisor will oversee our manufacturing operations of our cut and screw department, ensuring the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and safety. You will work alongside our experienced area leader manage and team of skilled production staff, collaborate with other departments, and work closely with senior management to optimize production flow, reduce waste, and meet demanding deadlines. Key Responsibilities: Own daily stand-up meetings to address issues raised by the production team, capturing data to understand the overall performance against set key performance indicators around Safety, Quality, Cost, Deliver and People within our visual management systems. Responsible for all good practices of health and safety. Responsible for ensuring all quality processes are adhered to. Responsible for ensuring all hour-by-hour KPIs and cycles times are met and challenged when not. Capture all downtime information and work to unlock any bottlenecks in production flow. Responsible for daily planning meetings with all departments and ensuring all material prepared for production and manufactured for on time delivery. Responsible for all production related holiday planner ensuring labour levels are correct to hit daily targets. Work closely with planning to provide a 4 week look ahead of accurate resource and capacity information. Ensuring all start-up and end of shift preparation checks are undertaken as part of standard work. Liaising with maintenance teams TPM schedule to prepare for designated down time on kit and planning around it. Analyse production performance via live digital platforms, address any underperforming issues. Undertake problem solving events using tools such as A3, RCA and PDCA and 8D Responsible for ensuring supervisors are dealing with HR issues i.e. return to work, absenteeism, lateness and appraisals. Liaising with transport/works co-ordinator through the day on update of manufacturing and loading times. Responsible for production daily flash report on factory performance. Use 5S as a platform to maintain a high standard of housekeeping and coach the team in auditing their own and other work areas Key Performance Indicators: Comply with statutory regulations and organisational safety requirements Contribute to identifying hazards and risks as part of a risk assessment activity Comply with the reporting of visual management systems, monitor results and contribute to the recovery of under performing areas. Report process concerns and manage corrective actions. Contribute to the creation of standard operating procedures Contributing to the application of continuous improvement and problem solving techniques and activities Contributing to the delivery of projects and agree and assign tasks to team members Guide and mentor team members to be accountable for all practices and work areas Responsible for ensuring delivery of goods to customers are on time and in full. Qualifications: IOSH/SSSTS or equivalent supervisory qualification. Exposure to Lean and Six Sigma, 5S desirable. Essential Experience: Strong communication skills, leadership and people management. Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel. 3 year minimum experience in supervisory or management role. Ability to prioritise, multitask, and work under pressure.
