Firstcom Europe in Bolton are recruiting for an IT Apprentice. The successful candidate will work towards their Level 3 IT and Digital Marketing qualifications which will take approximately 18 months to complete.
Duties:
• To provide 1st line support to staff for hardware, software, audio-visual, photocopiers, and telephone equipment.
• Manage IT Support tickets and monitor
• To assist with the purchase and setting up of IT equipment.
• To install and configure software applications.
• To help maintain appropriate stock levels of computer consumables and accessories and to raise purchase orders as necessary ensuring that value for money is obtained.
• Assist with setting up routers.
• Assist with 1st Line support on Universe products.
• Ensure all customer communications are logged on the CRM system and all processes are followed correctly.
• To maintain satisfactory standards of safety and security concerning the server room and equipment.
• Ensure the patch cabinet is kept tidy and assist with patching out new computers and handsets.
• Demonstrate knowledge of key products and services.
• Build effective inter-departmental working relationships.
• Understand Health and Safety policy and procedures.
• Provide any requested monthly/weekly reports on time and accurately.
• Additional ad-hoc reports and duties.
• Ensure that the offices and working space are kept clean and tidy.

Grades:
There are no educational requirements required.
Hours:
Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm. 45-minute break for lunch. 36.25 hours per week
