Purpose of the Job:
* To carry out electrical tasks across planned preventative maintenance, projects, reactive and breakdown works across all electrical systems within the Client facility at Exeter.
Key Responsibilities:
* Installation and/or removal of electrical wiring, circuits, fixtures, and equipment according to electrical codes and regulations.
* Diagnose and repair electrical faults, replacing faulty components and/or wiring.
* Test electrical systems and equipment to ensure they meet safety standards and regulations.
* Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant building regulations and safety standards.
* Maintain accurate records of work performed, including inspections, tests, and repairs.
* Ensure Risk Assessments and Method Statements are prepared and used for all tasks undertaken to always ensure safe working practices.
* All reactive tasks throughout the building are completed, being proactive in highlighting areas where improvements can be made.
* Supervise and monitor sub-contractor works whilst they are on site undertaking maintenance/fixes, ensuring permits and RAMS are adhered to.
* Develop a good working relationship with all members of the CBRE team, subcontractors, and client’s staff.
* Ensure the provision of a safe & healthy working environment is met, including the wearing of uniform and appropriate PPE always. To ensure compliance with all CBRE and client policies and procedures.
* Ensure a professional image of CBRE to the client, and visitors, and ensure excellence in customer service is delivered and always promoted.
* Ensure all storage areas are maintained and kept safe and tidy.
* Undertake lone working where required.
* Undertake other tasks directed by the account management team.
Skills:
* Formal electrical qualification, BS7671 18th edition regulations (amendment 3) and City and Guilds 2391 test and inspection.
* Good communication etiquette.
* Team player.
* Able to multitask and prioritise workload.
* Committed to the delivery of excellent customer service.
* Calm manner, able to work under pressure and make sound decisions when needed.
* Physically fit and able to carry tools and components by hand up to 20kg.
* Able to work at heights.
* Log 4 x constructive and positive observations.
* Obtain full Security Clearance.
